Incheon Airport to Seongsu 2026: AREX, 6013 Bus, Taxi & Seoul Forest Guide
Last verified: October 10, 2026 · Source basis: Airport Limousine, Incheon International Airport, Seoul Metropolitan Government and Korea Tourism Organization
Seongsu has become one of Seoul’s most popular areas for cafés, pop-up stores, fashion, beauty and lifestyle spaces. If your hotel or accommodation is in Seongsu-dong or near Seoul Forest, you have three practical ways to get there from Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 or Terminal 2: AREX + subway, Airport Limousine Bus 6013, or taxi.
The best option depends on the exact location of your accommodation. Seongsu is not one small block: hotels near Seongsu Station, Ttukseom Station and Seoul Forest can require different last-mile routes.
Quick answer: Incheon Airport to Seongsu
| Option | Route | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| AREX + Line 2 | Airport → Hongik Univ. → Line 2 → Seongsu or Ttukseom | Variable by transit fare | Predictable travel time, light luggage |
| Airport Bus 6013 | T2 → T1 → Gyeongil Elementary → Seongsu E-Mart → Seongsu 119 Center | KRW 17,000 adult / KRW 12,000 child | Large luggage, accommodation near bus stops |
| Standard taxi | Direct to hotel | Metered + possible toll/night surcharge | Door-to-door convenience |
| Seoul International Taxi | Direct to Seongdong-gu | KRW 90,000 sedan / KRW 130,000 SUV, van or deluxe | Foreign-language support, fixed airport zone fare |
Where is Seongsu?
Seongsu-dong is in Seongdong-gu, east of central Seoul and north of the Hangang River. The neighborhood stretches around Seongsu Station, Ttukseom Station and Seoul Forest, so always check which station or airport-bus stop is closest to your hotel.

Option 1: AREX + Seoul Subway Line 2
For most independent travelers, rail is the most predictable option because it is not affected by road traffic.
Step-by-step route
- From Incheon Airport Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, follow signs to the Airport Railroad (AREX) station in the Transportation Center.
- Take the AREX All-Stop Train toward Seoul.
- Get off at Hongik University Station.
- Transfer to Seoul Subway Line 2.
- Continue to Seongsu Station or Ttukseom Station, whichever is closer to your accommodation.
The Korea Tourism Organization identifies the AREX All-Stop Train as the service that stops at major stations including Hongik University. This is why Hongik University is the most straightforward transfer point for Line 2.
Which Line 2 station should you use?
| Destination area | Useful station |
|---|---|
| Central Seongsu cafés / pop-up stores | Seongsu Station |
| Western Seongsu / Seoul Forest side | Ttukseom Station can be more convenient for some addresses |
| Accommodation directly around Seoul Forest Station | Check NAVER Map for the best final transfer or short taxi ride |
Because Seoul Forest Station itself is on the Suin-Bundang Line rather than Line 2, do not assume that “Seoul Forest” and “Seongsu Station” are interchangeable. Search your exact hotel address before traveling.
AREX Express or All-Stop?
For Seongsu, the All-Stop Train is usually simpler because it lets you transfer directly at Hongik University Station. The AREX Express runs non-stop to Seoul Station, which would require a different subway transfer afterward.
For reference, Korea Tourism Organization currently lists the AREX Express travel time to Seoul Station as about 43 minutes from Terminal 1 and 51 minutes from Terminal 2. The All-Stop Train to Seoul Station takes about 59 minutes from T1 and 66 minutes from T2; Hongik University is reached before Seoul Station.
Option 2: Airport Limousine Bus 6013
If you are carrying large luggage, Airport Limousine Bus 6013 can be easier because it serves Seongsu directly without a subway transfer.
The official Airport Limousine route currently includes these Seongsu-area stops after leaving the airport:
- Gyeongil Elementary School
- Seongsu E-Mart
- Seongsu 119 Center
The bus then continues toward Jayang-dong, Konkuk University Station area, Konkuk University and other eastern Seoul stops.
6013 fare
The operator’s current published fare is:
- Adult: KRW 17,000
- Child: KRW 12,000
Where to board at Incheon Airport
| Terminal | 6013 boarding point |
|---|---|
| Terminal 1 | 6A-2 |
| Terminal 2 | B1 Transportation Center, Platform 25 |
Airport Limousine changed several airport boarding platforms in July 2025 and currently lists 6013 at these locations. Because airport bus platforms and timetables can change, check the official Airport Limousine route page or the airport departure display before boarding.
At Terminal 2, the operator states that passengers should purchase a ticket at the ticket office or vending machine before boarding.
Which 6013 stop should you choose?
Do not automatically get off at the first stop with “Seongsu” in the name. Search your hotel on NAVER Map and compare walking distance from:
- Gyeongil Elementary School
- Seongsu E-Mart
- Seongsu 119 Center
If you are staying very close to Seoul Forest, the direct 6013 route may still leave you with a final walk or short taxi ride. In that case, compare the bus with the AREX + Line 2 route before deciding.
Option 3: Standard taxi from Incheon Airport
A standard taxi is the simplest door-to-door option, especially after a long flight, with children, or with several large suitcases.
Use the official taxi stands outside the arrivals hall. Incheon Airport warns passengers to avoid illegal solicitation and vehicles that are not operating from the designated taxi system.
Seoul’s standard taxi base fare is currently KRW 4,800. The final airport-to-Seongsu fare is metered and depends on traffic, route and time of day. Seoul also notes that an airport expressway toll may be added to the metered fare, and late-night surcharges apply between 22:00 and 04:00.
Because there is no single official fixed standard-taxi price for every Seongsu hotel, this guide does not quote a made-up “average” total. Check the meter and official surcharge rules instead.
Option 4: Seoul International Taxi
For international visitors who want a foreign-language taxi service and a fixed airport zone fare, Seoul International Taxi is the clearest official option.
Seongsu is in Seongdong-gu, which Seoul Metropolitan Government places in Zone D for Incheon Airport section fares:
| Vehicle | Incheon Airport ↔ Seongdong-gu |
|---|---|
| Sedan | KRW 90,000 |
| SUV / van / deluxe | KRW 130,000 |
Incheon Airport identifies International Taxi as an officially designated foreign-language taxi service. The airport currently lists dedicated pickup points for this service at both terminals, and advance reservation is recommended.

Which option is best from Terminal 1?
If you arrive at Terminal 1:
- Light luggage: AREX All-Stop → Hongik University → Line 2
- Large luggage: 6013 from 6A-2
- Group or family: compare the total bus cost with one taxi fare
- Need foreign-language taxi support: pre-book Seoul International Taxi
Which option is best from Terminal 2?
If you arrive at Terminal 2, the same options are available, but the airport is slightly farther from Seoul.
- Rail: AREX station in the Transportation Center
- 6013: B1, Platform 25
- Bus ticket: buy from the ticket office or vending machine before boarding
- Taxi: use only the designated airport taxi area
Seongsu Station vs Seoul Forest: do not confuse them
This is one of the most important details for visitors booking a hotel in “Seongsu.”
Seongsu Station is on Line 2 and is convenient for many café streets and pop-up-store areas. Seoul Forest Station is on the Suin-Bundang Line and serves the Seoul Forest side of the neighborhood. Ttukseom Station, also on Line 2, can be closer than Seongsu Station to some western Seongsu addresses.
Before choosing your airport route, paste your accommodation’s exact Korean or English address into NAVER Map and check the last 10–15 minutes of the journey.
What I would check before leaving the airport
- Confirm whether your accommodation is closer to Seongsu Station, Ttukseom Station or Seoul Forest Station.
- If using 6013, choose the closest of the three Seongsu-area bus stops before boarding.
- Check the latest 6013 timetable because road and operating conditions can change departure times.
- Use NAVER Map for the final walking route and local bus information.
- If taking a taxi, use only the official airport taxi stand or a confirmed International Taxi reservation.
